There is a lot of conversation right now about NDIS oversight, reform, and what the scheme looks like going forward. It can feel unsettling — especially if you are a parent mid-therapy, or an adult participant whose current supports are finally working.

What we can say is this: good therapy does not start and stop with funding cycles or policy headlines. It lives in the relationship between a therapist and the person they are working with — in the routine of a Wednesday afternoon session, in the way our therapist already knows how a child settles before they even pick up a pencil, in the home visit where nothing needs explaining from scratch.

Reforms may change how the NDIS is governed. They do not change what occupational therapy is, or why continuity of care matters for the people receiving it.

If you are feeling uncertain about what changes mean for your child’s therapy or your own supports, that is completely understandable. The NDIA website and your support coordinator are the right places to get information specific to your situation — not social media, and not us.

What we can offer is steadiness: the same therapist, the same approach, showing up in the same spaces where life actually happens.

General information only. Not personal advice. Speak with your NDIS planner, support coordinator, or allied health provider for advice specific to your situation.

Has the recent news about NDIS changes brought up questions you have not quite known who to ask?
