There is a lot of noise right now about proposed changes to how NDIS funding is managed — and if you have been following the news, you may be feeling uncertain about what it means for your family or the person you support.

We want to be straightforward: we are not going to tell you what these changes will mean for your specific plan or funding. That is genuinely a conversation for your NDIS planner, support coordinator, or LAC, and we would always encourage you to seek that guidance directly.

What we can speak to is this: when systems feel uncertain, the thing that tends to steady families is consistency on the ground. The therapist who already knows how your child holds a pencil. Who has seen them on a hard sensory day and a good one. Who does not need to re-read a file to remember what matters to your family.

That kind of continuity is not a luxury — for many children and adults, it is what makes therapy actually work across time.

If you have concerns about how any funding changes might affect your access to OT supports, please reach out to your support coordinator or visit the NDIS website for the most current information.

General information only. Not personal advice. Speak with your NDIS planner, support coordinator, or allied health provider for advice specific to your situation.

How are you feeling about the current NDIS conversation — is your family finding it easy to get clear answers?
